DESCRIPTION

• The course uses a combination of interactive discussion, presentation and exercises. This training will provide participants  with the knowledge necessary to make judgement in operation, inspection and maintenance of boilers.  The design (Codes/Act) knowledge gained in this training will boost the confidence when modifications are to be carried out.
• As a broad overview, the benefits that will be gained in this training are;
• Knowing the wide variety of boilers used in industry whilst understanding the similarity in principles of design and operation.
• Consolidation of various Codes (BS, ASME,etc.) and Act and ensuring governing requirements are met.
• Fundamentals of Operating & Design Limits.
• Periodic and Life Assessment Inspection and a simplified explanation on boiler metallurgy.
• Additional information to participants in the form of basics of welding, boiler manufacturing and piping system.
• Understanding and Applying of Boiler Datasheets. Achieve confidence in specifying new boilers.
• Make a major leap in increasing confidence as competent person in charge of boilers.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The content of this course is technical. To derive the best benefit, the participants should have some basic form of exposure to boilers, pressure vessels or piping; whether operation, maintenance, inspection or design. 

DURATION

​2 Days per level (Practical training on welding processes, steel forming and manufacturing tolerances can be arranged on a case to case basis.)
